An ambulance transporting a pregnant Middle Village woman in labor got stuck on 70th Ave. and 69th Pl. in Middle Village during Saturday’s blizzard.
At 5:45 p.m., several neighbors ran out to help move the ambulance, but the vehicle remained immobilized. There was a brief panic until a neighbor who drives a tow truck came and freed the vehicle.
The pregnant woman, identified as Albana Tushe, arrived at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center safe and sound, where she delivered a baby girl.
During storm Jonas, dozens of ambulances got stuck in the snow across the city, many of them in Queens, sources said.
