A group of elected officials are honoring the men and women who served in the armed forces this Veteran’s Day by hosting a free resource fair in Middle Village. The special resource fair, for borough veterans, is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at P.S./I.S. 49, 63-60 80th St, Middle Village.

The elected officials who are sponsoring the event, include: U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, New York City Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley, Councilman Eric Ulrich, New York State Senator Joseph Addabbo, and New York Assemblymembers Michael DenDekker, Margaret Markey, Mike Miller and Catherine Nolan.

The event is designed to inform veterans of the many benefits and services that are available to them through the government. And while many are aware of the services, not all know how to gain access to them

According to release: the Veterans Resource Fair is open to all free of charge. No RSVP is necessary. It will take place in P.S./I.S. 49’s cafeteria.
