Senator Joseph Addabbo Offers Free Legal Aid to Middle Village Residents

Senator Addabbo collaborated with the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) to provide Middle Village residents with free legal assistance because he knows how expensive, time consuming, and confusing seeking legal advice can be.

“As a former practicing attorney, I understand the complexity legal issues can take on,” Addabbo said. “That is one of the main reasons I continue to partner with NYLAG. A person who is looking for legal advice on a housing matter, or what they need to do to create a will should not be a major burden on them.”

On Thursday, October 20th, at Queens Library in Middle Village, 72-31 Metropolitan Avenue, Senator Addabbo will hold office hours for people in need of legal advice from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00p.m. An appointment is not required for these specific sessions.

Attorneys will be present to discuss civil issues including: Housing (tenant only), Disability Benefits, Identity Theft, Consumer Credit, Domestic Violence, Custody and Visitation, Employment, Foreclosure, Public Benefits, Healthcare Benefits, Debt Management, Immigration, Divorce, Child Support, Superstorm Sandy, Advanced Planning, etc.
